Jason Powell

Jason is a New York City fireman. He says that being the youngest in a family with nine children made him appreciate reading, if only for the peace and quiet. And that reading has paid off handsomely with a touching story.

“On Top of Everything” may be considered to be what Bewildering Stories calls a “mood piece.” But it is of a special kind: it depicts a moment of depression in the life of a single mother who loves her son but misses her late husband terribly.
