Wake-Up Call” invites readers to live in the moment. And readers will be intrigued by the poem’s premise. Surely most readers will have heard of near-death experiences where someone sees a bright light and is reunited with deceased family and friends. There is no party in this poem. Rather, it explains the old saying: “Everybody wants to go to Heaven, but nobody wants to die.”

Louanne Woody Ewald’s bio sketch can be found here.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Louanne. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
