Note: Everything in green on this page is a link.

The Quarterly Reviews bring you the editors’ favorites from the past three months. New readers will see the recent best of Bewildering Stories, and veteran readers will have the chance to catch up on anything they may have missed.

We’ll resume regular publication with issue 227 on January 8, 2007. The First Quarterly Review of 2007 will cover issues 227-238.

The Editor and Copy Editor extend their heartfelt gratitude to the review editors for their long and outstanding work in evaluating submissions to Bewildering Stories and in making the selections for this Fourth Quarterly Review. As always, the discussions were lively and insightful. Thank you, Katherine Allen, Agnes Blom, Bill Bowler, Gary Inbinder, Michael E. Lloyd, and Carmen Ruggero.

The editors’ choices are the result of an extensive and sometimes grueling process. Finally and foremost, then, we congratulate the authors represented here. They and their works have well earned the honor.

The Review Editors’ Citation of Special Merit for autumn 2006 goes to those works that received a consensus vote of outstanding quality. The list of the top twelve choices appears at the end of part 2 (January 1, 2007).
