What’s in Issue 99
Novels | Ian Donnell Arbuckle brings Made It Way Up to an end that began with Lane’s flight. Now that Lane’s rocket has disintegrated in the air, the family also begins to come apart. Bernard, Kelly and Essa all feel compelled to go their separate ways emotionally. At the end, there is only one. Part 24, Bernard; part 25, Essa and Kelly
In Tala Bar’s Gaia, Dar and Nim are following the river. In chapter 3, Nim espies a mysterious female figure on a rock by the river, combing her golden hair: installment 1. After a misadventure with remnants of the industrial pollution age, Dar begins to supect what the apparition might be: installment 2. Roberto Sanhueza returns with the further adventures of Katts and Dawgs. Phydo is introduced to Thomm’s home town and relatives in the first part of “Katt Cuts It Thin.” The diplomacy is a bit tricky, and Thomm’s relations with his family and neighbors are even more so. |

Serials |
Michael J A Tyzuk’s Tamara Tomson and her partners engage in a shoot-out with Dr. Hunter over a mysterious talisman. But does the history of the artifact make the archeologist a villain or a victim? “The Soul Hunter,” part 3.
Euhal Allen returns with a story of a Bridge. It comes from somewhere and goes everywhere. It may seem a little uncommunicative at first, but it will be glad to talk to you, if you like. It has a charming personality but no nose... Descriptions fail; visit The Bridge! |

In Times to Come
We bid a sad farewell to Ian Donnell Arbuckle’s Made It Way Up and hope Ian will return again soon. But as you can see, Tala Bar’s Gaia, Roberto Sanhueza’s Katts and Dawgs, Michael J A Tyzuk’s “The Soul Hunter,” and euhal allen’s “The Bridge” will keep us coming back in the meantime! Among many treats coming up soon: stories from new contributors in Sweden and Germany, and an article by Deep Bora on “what dreams may come when we shuffle off this mortal coil.” Bewildering Stories gives us a pause that... does a lot of different things!
Readers’ reactions are always welcome.
